Compx Tech enables wireless mouse

Compx Technology is a Chinese fabless semiconductor specializing in short-range wireless communication technologies. Specifically, it’s 2.4 GHz Compx Tech CX52850 is used by Chinese wireless mouse manufacturers.

Eastern Times Technology is one such Chinese company specializing in PC & gaming perihpherals — mouse & keyboard. According to this link, the company release 5 new models and sells 1.2 million units monthly!

The firm deploys Compx Tech CX52850 for its Redragon M994 Wireless Bluetooth Gaming Mouse . The gaming mouse supports two different wireless standards — Bluetooth and proprietary — in 2.4 GHz band.

You can clearly see a 16 MHz crystal used by 2.4 GHz wireless IC. You may also spot optical gaming mouse chip PAW3395DM from PixArt Imaging Inc.

Shenzhen F&G Electron Co is another such manufacturer of computer peripherals that has designed Compx Tech CX52850 in its M15DM Wireless Gaming Mouse. Other wireless gaming mouse models from Shenzhen F&G Electron probably also use Compx Tech 2.4 GHz wireless chip.

Compx Tech seems to be targeting its 2.4 GHz wireless IC to low cost and low brand Chinese computer peripheral manufacturers. Also, you will probably not find Compx Tech website or CX52850 datasheet on the internet.
