Trondheim and Cambridge

In July 2020 , I moved to Cambridge UK from Trondheim, Norway. Trondheim is a charming city and I had the fortune of living here since 2010. I have many fond memories of my time in Trondheim - I had wonderful colleagues at Nordic semiconductor, my 4 kids were born in this city, had many friends and acquaintances :)

My friends often ask me how my move went from Trondheim to Cambridge and how is it to live in two different cities. Comparing Trondheim and Cambridge is quite complicated as there are many aspects but here is my first take on this topic

Dynamic cities ranking is another metric to compare Cambridge and Trondheim. The model six dimensions are Investment, Innovation, Inspiration, Inclusion, Interconnection, and Infrastructure. In 2019, Cambridge was the 3rd most dynamic city according to this index.

Cambridge and Trondheim have a ranking of 175th and 390th respectively on the best startup cities list. Cambridge is also known as Silicon Fen as its home to many hi tech companies.

Both Trondheim and Cambridge are endearing uniquely. I will recommend both of them for either visiting or living.
